  1. 1. Kaleo says...

    1. FIFA should incorporate a system of administering YELLOW CARDS or RED CARDS via post game video review. These CARDS will be administered to players who are proven to have purposely attempted to affect the result of a game in a way that is not related to “the spirit behind that which is generally considered skillful athletic participation in the game of soccer”.

Example – Kaka Yellow Card – I don’t remember the name of the Honduran Player, but you likely know it, and remember this play. A dive is one thing, but rushing a player, then being given a peripheral visions elbow/fore arm (reasonable in this case from Kaka) and then falling to the ground with hands over your nose/face?

This would be a POST GAME MISCONDUCT – YELLOW CARD.

I realize this could create a mess of administrative review for FIFA, but so what? The spirit behind the rule is pure to the concept of fair play, and will result in penalties to those who are attempting to diminish the integrity of the sport, and in some cases the health of another player.

There could be restrictions to the POST GAME CARD program…Such as “reviewable video will apply only to plays/players/instances that have caused a stoppage in play via whistle or injury or plays causing extra time”. This should cover any questionable play. Note, the player “injured” or “causing extra time” will also be subject to the POST GAME CARD. If a player makes a play that is an attempt to draw post game review, he will be RED CARDED.

This rule might also help prevent theatrics during a game.

IMPORTANT…POST GAME CARDS WILL NOT REMOVE CARDS ISSUED DURING A GAME. So protests of such will be denied. If it did, FIFA would never do it because it would create way too many problems, and diminish the referees pressures as well as standing, and could affect the outcome of games. Sorry Kaka!!

    2. There should be a rule against putting the USA Team on the pitch with the most ridiculous jersey/sock combination in the history of team sports. Shame on Nike for putting together a Jersey/Short/Sock/Cleat combo that looks like each came from a different team?

    3. FIFA SHOULD RULE AGAINST TEAMS WEARING JERSEYS THAT MAKE OFFICIATING THE GAME EVEN MORE DIFFICULT THAN IT ALREADY IS. For example, MEXICO vs. URUGUAY. Isn’t that why they bring 3 jerseys?

I’m thinking 1 design . . . All Teams adhere to the design. Use the material and 3 colors of your choice so long as they appear in your flag. If your flag only has 2 colors (Swiss, England, Japan, Greece, etc) then your 3rd Jersey will be flourescent yellow (Wear it or don’t wear it, it’s up to you).

Create a “legend” that must be adhered to in terms of what a team wears if they play one another PRIOR to the tournament bracket being created.

Better for fans, better for referees, a credit to FIFA.

Marketing…Each country submits a 4th jersey (Like NHL 3rd jersey in past years). They can market the crap out of it, and make some money. It could even be worked in to the “legend” mentioned above but only after submitted to FIFA for review. This way each team MAY have a choice of two jerseys in any given game IF their 4th Jersey is created in a way that will be an acceptable POLAR opposite to many other team jerseys.

    Okay…enough…You get the point.

    p.s.
The FIFA Uniform…All teams uniforms back side will have player name at top, then PLAYER NUMBER above TEAM FLAG. These would be equal in size.

Of course I have a design…It’s awesome too!! lol

    Whatever.
    Go USA!!
