Altidore a “match-winner,” says FIFA — USA Soccer Stud

U.S. forward Jozy Altidore  is the regular recipient of roaring applause from the home crowd when he enters a stadium. In a profile of the rising star this week, FIFA.com explains why:

Josmer Volmy Altidore, still only 20, has already bagged eight goals in just 20 caps for the fast-improving USA team. With an almost preternatural ability to hold up the ball and bring his team-mates into play, the muscular forward is not only virtually assured of a starting spot at the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, but is, even at such a tender age, already ranked among the match-winners for the Stars and Stripes.

Including Donovan, Howard, and Dempsey. Going into the World Cup, I actually feel more comfortable with Altidore at forward than without.
