U.S. rosterized with second-string team for El Salvador friendly — USA Soccer Stud

image12-300x224-2Like the Honduras exhibition in January (which the U.S. lost badly), coach Bob Bradley will “try out” less experienced players this Wednesday when the team plays El Salvador. Translation: Coach gets a look at potential starters for the World Cup; fans will be treated with inferior quality of play. At least until the Netherlands game on Mar. 3.

This week’s game starts at 7 pm Eastern on ESPN Classic and Galavision. Full roster as follows:

United), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake) DEFENDERS (5): Jonathan Bornstein (Chivas USA), Clarence Goodson (IK Start), Chad Marshall (Columbus Crew), Heath Pearce (FC Dallas), Marvell Wynne (Toronto FC) MIDFIELDERS (9): Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), Geoff Cameron (Houston Dynamo), Brad Davis (Houston Dynamo), Brad Evans (Seattle Sounders), Eddie Gaven (Columbus Crew), Sacha Kljestan (Chivas USA), Dax McCarty (FC Dallas), Chris Pontius (D.C.
